I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer specializing in assisting seniors, specifically those living with a dementia diagnosis, along with their caregivers - both professional and personal - navigate all of the up's and down's of care, all while finding meaningful moments, and perhaps even joy, along the way.

My Background

Music Therapist

I am a board-certified music therapist with years of experience in the senior-care field. I strongly believe that music is the key to the soul, especially in our elders, and most certainly in those living with a dementia diagnosis.

Musician

A musician at heart, I still thrive on playing live music. Classically trained in piano, I also love playing in a local folk band here in Rochester, as well as an Irish-American band based out of Ohio. While I appreciate and enjoy newer music, my heart belongs to the Big Band and swing genres of the 40's and 50's.

Activity Director & Memory Care Director

Having worked in activities in nursing homes and assisted living communities for over 13 years, and most recently managing a memory care community through COVID-19, I have a wealth of hands-on experience as well as a depth of compassion, empathy and understanding for both residents and family members alike.

Certified Dementia

Trainer & Educator

A Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer with the NCCDP, I have also worked for years with the Alzheimer's Association, training over 5,000 healthcare professionals, putting in over 500hrs as a group educator. It continually excites me to bring new knowledge and understanding to those in the most need of such valuable information.

Personal Home Services
